Installation Procedure:

1. Begin by removing the two lower subframe-to-firewall bolts from the driver - side wheel arch. (See figure. 1)

 2. Thread one M6 nut loosely onto the pump mount nearest the hose outlet, then slip the pump assembly into the bracket. Install the remaining two M6 nuts and tighten.

3. Place washers onto two of the 3/8 UNF bolts before pushing them through the top mounting holes in the bracket. Position the pump and bracket assembly onto the vehicle while an assistant places washers and nuts onto the 3/8 UNF bolts from the inside of the vehicle. Snug bolts down.

4. Check the fitment of the pump to the hole in the inner guard. The assembly may be moved while the bolts are loose. Once satisfied with the fitment, tighten the two 3/8 UNF mounting bolts fully.

5. The lower bracket mounting hole may now be drilled by using the bracket as a guide. Drill the firewall with an 11mm drill bit. Install the remaining 3/8 UNF bolt and tighten. (See figure. 1)

6. The return and high-pressure lines may be routed under the chassis rail as desired and connected to the steering box or rack and pinion.

7. Wire the pump and bleed the system, check for leaks. Check lines for clearance to moving components.
